bonjour,

Marina and the Diamonds, Oh no!
- lyrics:
Do you think, everything, everyone, is going mental,
It seems to me that it's spiraling outta control and it's inevitable,
Now don't you think,
This time is yours, this time is mine,
It's temperamental,
It seems to me, we're on all fours,
Crawling on our knees,
Someone help us please
Oh Jesus Christ almighty,
Do I feel alright? No not slightly,
I wanna get a flat I know I can't afford it,
It's just the bureaucrats who won't give me a mortgage,
Well it's very funny cos I got your fucking money,
And I'm never gonna get it just because of my bad credit
Oh well I guess I mustn't grumble,
I suppose that's just the way the cookie crumbles.
[Chorus]
Oh yes, I'm fine,
Everything's just wonderful,
I'm having the time of my life.
Don't you want something else,
Something new, than what we've got here,
And don't you feel it's all the same,
Some sick game and it's not insincere,
I wish I could change the ways of the world,
Make it a nice place
Until that day, I guess we stay,
Doing what we do
Screwing who we screw
Why can't I sleep at night,
Don't say it's gonna be alright,
I wanna be able to eat spaghetti bolognaise,
and not feel bad about it for days and days and days.
In the magazines they talk about weight loss,
If I buy those jeans I can look like Kate Moss,
Oh no it's not the life I chose,
But I guess that's the way that things go,
[Chorus x2]
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba [etc.]
Marina and the Diamonds, Oh no!
- lyrics:
- Don't do love, don't do friends
I'm only after success
Don't need a relationship
I'll never soften my grip
Don't want cash, don't want card
Want it fast, want it hard
Don't need money, don't need fame
I just want to make a change
I just wanna change (x4)
CHORUS:
I know exactly what I want and who I want to be
I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine
I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy
Oh, oh no, oh no, oh no
One track mind, one track heart
If I fail, I'll fall apart
Maybe it is all a test
Cause I feel like I'm the worst
So I always act like I'm the best
If you are not very careful
Your possessions will possess you
TV taught me how to feel
Now real life has no appeal
It has no appeal (x4)
(chorus repeat twice)
I'm gonna live, I'm gonna fly,
I'm gonna fail, I'm gonna die,
I'm gonna live, I'm gonna fly
I'm gonna fail, gonna die, die, die, die

The Magnificent Seven des Clash ?
Gimme Honda, gimme Sony
So cheap and real phony
Hong kong dollars and Indian cents
English pounds and Eskimo pence
Working for a rise, better my station
Take my baby to sophistication
She's seen the ads, she thinks it's nice
Better work hard - I seen the price

The Magnificent Seven
Ring! Ring! It's 7:00 A.M.!
Move y'self to go again
Cold water in the face
Brings you back to this awful place
Knuckle merchants and you bankers, too
Must get up an' learn those rules
Weather man and the crazy chief
One says sun and one says sleet
A.M., the F.M. the P.M. too
Churning out that boogaloo
Gets you up and gets you out
But how long can you keep it up?
Gimme Honda, Gimme Sony
So cheap and real phony
Hong Kong dollars and Indian cents
English pounds and Eskimo pence
You lot! What?
Don't stop! Give it all you got!
You lot! What?
Don't stop! Yeah!
Working for a rise, better my station
Take my baby to sophistication
She's seen the ads, she thinks it's nice
Better work hard - I seen the price
Never mind that it's time for the bus
We got to work - an' you're one of us
Clocks go slow in a place of work
Minutes drag and the hours jerk
"When can I tell 'em wot I do?
In a second, maaan...oright Chuck!"
Wave bub-bub-bub-bye to the boss
It's our profit, it's his loss
But anyway lunch bells ring
Take one hour and do your thanng!
Cheeesboiger!
What do we have for entertainment?
Cops kickin' Gypsies on the pavement
Now the news - snap to attention!
The lunar landing of the dentist convention
Italian mobster shoots a lobster
Seafood restaurant gets out of hand
A car in the fridge
Or a fridge in the car?
Like cowboys do - in T.V. land
You lot! What? Don't stop. Huh?
So get back to work an' sweat some more
The sun will sink an' we'll get out the door
It's no good for man to work in cages
Hits the town, he drinks his wages
You're frettin', you're sweatin'
But did you notice you ain't gettin'?
Don't you ever stop long enough to start?
To take your car outta that gear
Don't you ever stop long enough to start?
To get your car outta that gear
Karlo Marx and Fredrich Engels
Came to the checkout at the 7-11
Marx was skint - but he had sense
Engels lent him the necessary pence
What have we got? Yeh-o, magnificence!
Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi
Went to the park to check on the game
But they was murdered by the other team
Who went on to win 50-nil
You can be true, you can be false
You be given the same reward
Socrates and Milhous Nixon
Both went the same way - through the kitchen
Plato the Greek or Rin Tin Tin
Who's more famous to the billion millions?
News Flash: Vacuum Cleaner Sucks Up Budgie
Oooohh...bub-bye
Magnificence!

Natalia Kills, Free
Natalia Kills, Free
- lyrics:
- Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 20's out
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 20's out
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 50's out
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 50's out
I'm free
I just spent all my money
But I rocked that like
it don't cost a thing
Free
Burned a hole in my pocket
But I rocked that like
it don't cost a thing
Call me a perfectionist
Addicted to immaculate
The hair right, shoes tight
Got to look the dress the part
With nothin' in my pocket
Got a catwalk for a closet
On my last lonely dollar
Lock me up before I hit the store
Wanna be like Midas
But my bank account is minus
Gotta stretch that dollar bill
Stretch that dollar
Need a genie in a bottle
Change a quarter to a hundred
Gotta stretch that dollar bill
Stretch that dollar bill
I'm free
I just spent all my money
But I rocked that like
it don't cost a thing
Free
Burned a hole in my pocket
But I rocked that like
it don't cost a thing
I wear it once
And I don't pop the tags
The next day I'ma bring it back
I'm at the store
Can't find nothin' cheaper than my credit'score
My wallet's anorexic
Can I pay my rent the next month?
I can hear my name
Callin' from stilettos on display
Window shopping's overrated
If I see it I'ma take it
Gotta stretch that dollar bill
Stretch that dollar
This Vogue is only paper
I can't wear the glossy pages
Gotta stretch that dollar bill
Stretch that dollar bill
I'm free
I just spent all my money
But I rocked that like
it don't cost a thing
Free
Burned a hole in my pocket
But I rocked that like
it don't cost a thing
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 20's out
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 20's out
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 50's out
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 50's out
I need to marry a man from Bel-Air
One rack, two rack
I can feel the aircraft hangar
With my coat hangers
Bankrupt, it don't matter
Girls give the eye 'cause they so mad
I could look fresh in a potato sack
Need a overdraft I'ma overdraft
If the bank man calls, just tell him...
I'm free
I just spent all my money
But I rocked that like
it don't cost a thing
Free
Burned a hole in my pocket
But I rocked that like
it don't cost a thing
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 20's out (hole in my pocket)
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 20's out (I'm free free free free free baby)
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 50's out (I'm free free, oh oh)
Get'cha 5's, get'cha 10's,
get'cha 50's out (oh oh)
I'm free free, yeah
I just spent all my money
But I rocked that like it don't
Cost a thing
Oh it don't cost a thing
Don't cost a thing

- lyrics:
- We live in a greedy little world
That teaches every little boy and girl
To earn as much as they can possibly
Then turn around and
Spend it foolishly
We've created us a credit card mess
We spend the money we don't possess
Our religion is to go and blow it all
So it's shoppin' every Sunday at the mall
All we ever want is more
A lot more than we had before
So take me to the nearest store
Can you hear it ring
It makes you wanna sing
It's such a beautiful thing--Ka-ching!
Lots of diamond rings
The happiness it brings
You'll live like a king
With lots of money and things
When you're broke go and get a loan
Take out another mortgage on your home
Consolidate so you can afford
To go and spend some more when you get bored
All we ever want is more
A lot more than we had before
So take me to the nearest store
Can you hear it ring
It makes you wanna sing
It's such a beautiful thing--Ka-ching!
Lots of diamond rings
The happiness it brings
You'll live like a king
With lots of money and things
Let's swing
Dig deeper in your pocket
Oh, yeah, ha
Come on I know you've got it
Dig deeper in your wallet
Oh
All we ever want is more
A lot more than we had before
So take me to the nearest store
Can you hear it ring
It makes you wanna sing
It's such a beautiful thing--Ka-ching!
Lots of diamond rings
The happiness it brings

Et le grand Neil toujours jeune : Here we are in the years!
Now that the holidays have come
They can relax and watch the sun
Rise above all
of the beautiful things
They've done.
Go to the country take the dog
Look at the sky without the smog
See the world laugh
at the farmers feeding hogs
Eat hot dogs.
What a pity
That the people from the city
Can't relate to the slower things
That the country brings.
Time itself is bought and sold.
The spreading fear of growing old
Contains a thousand foolish games
That we play.
While people
planning trips to stars
Allow another boulevard to claim
A quiet country lane
It's insane.
So the subtle face is a loser
This time around.
Here we are in the years
Where the showman
shifts the gears
Lives become careers
Children cry in fear
Let us out of here!

"The hungry ghost" de Cure.
Je poste les paroles:
All the things we never know we need
Looks like we get them in the end
Measure time in leisure time and greed
And by the time we get to spend
A floating bed
A head of stone
A home plugged into every phone
Kimono coral floral print
Exclusive tint and cut reclusive
No it doesn't come for free
But it's the price
We pay for happiness
No don't talk about more to life than this
Dream a world maybe no one owns
No don't think about all the life we miss
Swallow doubt as the hunger grows
Make believe it's like no one knows
Even if we turn more to most
We'll never satisfy the hungry ghost
All the stuff we know we never want
Seems like we get it anyway
Safe to say it isn't really wrong
Not when we know we only…
Throw it all away
Yeah all of this we never know we want
It's like we get it anyway
Safe to say it isn't ever wrong
Better to get than to delay
A 3d screen
A cleaner fit
A bit pulled out of every hit
Addicted latest greatest piece
Design caprice and make the headline
No it doesn't come for free
But it's the price
We pay for happiness
No don't talk about more to life than this

Make believe it's like no one knows

We know we never need
Well it’s the price

Wait here, go there
Come in, stay out
Be yourself, be someone else
Obey the law, break the law
Be ambitious, be modest
Plan ahead, be spontaneous
Decide for yourself, listen to others
Save money, spend money
Be good, be evil
Be wise, be foolish
Be safe, be dangerous
Be satisfied, be envious
Be honest, be deceitful
Be faithful, be perfidious
Be sane, be mad
Be strong, be weak
Be enigmatic, be plain
Be aggressive, be peaceful
Be brave, be timid
Be humane, be cruel
Be critical, be appreciative
Be temperamental, calm
Be sad, be happy
Be normal, be unusual
Stop, go, live, die
Yes, no, rebel, submit
Right, wrong, sit down, stand up
Create, destroy, accept, reject
Talk, silence, speed up, slow down
This way, that way, right, left
Present, absent, open, closed
Entrance, exit, believe, doubt
Truth, lies, escape, meet
Love, hate, thank you, flunk
Clarify, pollute, simple, complex
Nothing, something, stop, go
Live, die, yes, no
Rebel, submit, right, wrong
Sit down, stand up, create, destroy
Accept, reject, talk, silence

"Valley Girl", Frank Zappa
"Nothing but Flowers", Talking Heads (visions of a post-consumptive society )
"Gonna' Buy Me a Condo", Weird Al Jankovic (♬ gonna get me da T-shirt wit' de alligator on ♬ )
"Mercedez Benz", Janis Joplin (encore)

p.s. merci de m'avoir fait réecouter "Lost in the Supermarket"
surely Lily Allen or Neil Young (both already mentioned, though not "The Fear" or "Piece of Crap") or even Devo have done something impossible to play in the classroom
